Prayer Day 23

Dear Lord,

“Thank you for another day and another chance to get to live and have another opportunity to spread your word. As 2016 ends, we give you all the glory for allowing us to still be here living for you. It seems that 2016 was filled with a lot negative times. We pray that we can change that in 2017 as we talk about you more and start living in your ways. We pray that for this community and for the others that don’t know you or choose to ignore you, Father.  As we look back at 2016 we pray for you to show us what we need to correct in 2017 to grow closer to you and live in your ways.

Help us remember Proverbs 15:32 as we change our ways for 2017 as it states, “If you refuse to be corrected, you are only hurting yourself. Listen to criticism, and you will gain understanding.” It is hard to correct our ways and change, but we know you are correcting us because you are forgiving and want only what is best for us. Even if we don’t understand your ways, Lord, please help us change our ways so we can please you knowing it is for the good. We ask for forgiveness in all the sins we’ve done-knowingly and unknowingly.  In 2017, help us make it the year where you come first in all. Our ultimate goal is to not only include you in our daily lives, but make sure your the main source in everything we do.”

We ask all this in your everlasting name, Amen.

Come back tomorrow for day 24 as we continue to pray for 2017 and prepare for the future. If you missed out on the last couple of days here are the links to catch up on. Don’t forget to share! The more people praying for 2017 the better year it will be!
