Prayer Day 26
“As the wonderful Christmas season ends we pray that it was a blessing for each of us as we got to spend time with our families and celebrate the birth of our Savior. We pray that as we reflect upon 2016 we see what we need to change and what we need to continue in order to please you and your will. We lift up those who have fallen ill or weren’t able to be with their families during this special time. Please put your comforting hands on them and lift their spirits, Lord. We ask in 2017 we will be able to serve you better and spread your word to many more people in our lives.
In 2017 we pray to remember Romans 15:13, “I pray that the God who gives hope will fill you with much joy and peace as you trust in him. Then you will have more and more hope, and it will flow out of you by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Help us and those around us make 2017 the year of hope as a result of trusting you, Father. We know we can make the plans but its your word the defines the them. As we have hope for ourselves and others, we pray you will give us more for our future, our nation, and our lives in 2017. Please forgive us when we lose hope in you and in the situations we put ourselves in. Continue to heal those who are lost and soften their hearts so they can be filled with hopes and peace knowing you truly are the Savior who will come to save us once and for all.”
We ask and pray these things in your name, Amen.
