Prayer Day 27

Our Father,

” Today we come to you to pray for our future and thank you for our past. Help us prepare for 2017 with you in mind. We pray for encouragement when our lives get chaotic and stressful and we don’t feel like we have done the best. Encourage us to continue going even when we want to stop. We know life will throw unwanted events at us, but we also know that you will have gone before us and if we listen to you we can make it through anything. As 2016 ends, Lord, we praise you for getting us through the past unwanted events and helping us come out on top with a lesson learned.

As 2017 begins and more unforeseen circumstances happen we pray to remember Exodus 14:14 “You will not have to do anything but stay calm. The Lord will do the fighting for you.” Thank you, Lord, for fighting the fight for us so we don’t have to. Thank you for making it possible for us to stay calm as you protect us from all. Help us encourage one another to stay calm and know you are taking care of all matters. We pray that we continue to trust you in all that you do. Forgive us when we take matters into our own hands before we wait for you. Help us to always wait for you, Lord, as that is the only way out of anything on the positive side.”

We thank you for all and ask these things in your name, Amen.
