Prayer Day 28

Father,

“Today, with only 3 days left of 2016, we thank you for everyday that we were able to live for you this past year. We praise you for the accomplishments that happened to us, the new family members we may have added, and the new experiences we were able to have. Forgive us for the times we failed you throughout the year. Comfort us as we think of the loved ones we lost this year knowing they went to be with you. Teach us to remember that no matter what happened in 2016 you are still here and haven’t and won’t give up on us. We pray to ask you for our request with full faith knowing you will grant it. When we lose faith help us remember Matthew 9:29, ” Because of your faith it, will happen.”

Lord, we know you are fully capable of giving us anything and everything but sometimes what we ask for is not what you want to give us because there is something bigger and better in store for us. When this happens, Lord, let us not lose faith in you but rejoice knowing that we are worth more than we ask for. We also pray for patience when we ask and don’t receive right away. Encourage us daily to keep the faith and patience in you and as we go about living our daily lives. In the end, you always give us more than we deserve if we just wait on you. Help us remember that. ”

In your name, Amen.
